In the movie, Far and Away, Joseph and Shannon finally got together at the end of the movie. I thought it was really strange how Joseph suddenly came back to life. I liked the movie and I thought it had a great plot, but it didn't seem right that he magically came back to life because he looked up into the sky. Am I the only one who thought that? Did you like the movie all together? Do you think the movie should have ended when Joseph died or do you think it was better that he came back to life?

I think that he should have not died in the first place but just gotten hurt. When he came back from the dead i thought that it was stupid and said ahh come on. The reincarnation of joseph was i think an example of cynicall return and it was like what happened to his father in the begining.
I personally think that it was a bad idea to have Joe become back fomr the dead because it almost gave me a heart attack when i htought he was dead. Most of the movie had a very intense plot and high tension drama, so I think the ending should have coralated with that, not being a silly little joke. Despite this mind trick the movie tried to play on me i still loved it and plan on renting it many times in the future.

I think that with Joseph coming back from the grave was not the best way to conclude the movie, simply because it makes the movie's attempt to be accuarate on westward expansion that much worse as coming back from death isn't realistic. I think he shouldn't have died in the first place. Coming back to life isn't realistic, but if he died without coming back to life, that would be frustrating to the watcher like me, as he had gone through all of that work to get his own land, just as his father had, and then he dies! What's that? As a movie watcher, you want the final goal to be achieved or else what's the point. Even though not everyone in real life got what Joseph wanted, for a movie, the goal has to be achieved for the movie (supposed to entertain AND teach) to be good.

I thought that when Joseph came back was weird. It remided me of when his father died and i thought Joseph would die to but he didnt. I would be happy if he died but not in a bad way because he got want he wanted and what his father told him to do.
