Now that we have finished reading Catcher, what are your view points on the book? How did you like the way J.D. Salinger portrayed Holden and how do you like the way he wrote the book? What did you like about it? What didn't you like?
I liked the book especially the ending - it seemed very emotional and I liked how much Holden had changed by the end.

After Reading Catcher in The Rye my view point on the book changed alot. In the start I sat back and was really intersted in everything that happened. After the first ten or so chapters I thought to myself this book had a enormous amount of pontential. But I felt the book really never panned out. It never really grabbed me in the end the way it did in the start. Salinger did a nice job portraying Holden, that was a bonus while reading. Overall I thought it was a pretty average book, it was enertaing but I thought it could have been much better with a more exciting plot.
